The snow is falling. And falling. So what’s a girl to do? Not long ago, I saw a photograph of a single snowflake. It was beautiful. Ever since, I wondered if I could do the same.
Today, using manual focus and the standard 18-55mm lens on my Canon 550D, I gave it a shot. After cropping and making it a black and white image, I liked the result, but hoped for better. I’m going to keep trying.

Amazing!
Thanks!
WOW!!
I love it! It looks like, hey, a REAL snowflake =) I want to try!
I look forward to seeing your snowflake(s)!

I’ve always wanted to find out about the existence of the snowflake. To a Southern Californian like me, the snowflake is a mythical phenomenon–is it actually real? Possible? How can you see it?
This is amazing.
Still fun, though.
Very cool!
It is beautiful..
Gorgeous, well shot.
Thanks for the compliment!
Wow! All I can say is, Wow.

That is a PERFECT shot! I want it to snow again here!!!
Thanks! I want it to snow again here, too.
It’s supposed to snow 1-3″ here tonight. The kids have their fingers crossed for a snow day off from school. I want to be able to go out and take photos!
