NYC Sunrise

These four, progressive photos were taken in October 2010 from the deck of a cruise ship as we approached New York City on our way to the Red Hook Cruise Terminal in Brooklyn.

Click on each photo for a larger, more detailed view, especially of the photo above, which includes many tiny lights on the left side where the city is still dark.

  1. Lovely shots … but isn’t it wierd not seeing the twin towers in the skyline?

These are lovely shots! How nice to catch a sunrise. It’s much easier for me to catch a sunset than a sunrise…so they are very special shots! Thanks for visiting my blog!

    • I’m not a morning person, but sometimes if I know there’s a good chance for a beautiful view, I set the alarm and don’t hit the snooze. In this case, I thought the view was subtly beautiful. Thanks for visiting my blog, too, and for the compliment!
