A Tale of Two Unpronounceable Lakes

Llynnau MymbyrThis is Llynnau Mymbyr, which is the name of two connected lakes near Capel Curig in North Wales. I have no idea how the lakes’ name is pronounced.

We visited earlier this month just after an unseasonable snowfall. Mount Snowdon is in the distance. (That’s not a bad joke; the mountain’s name really is Mount Snowdon.)

Llynnau Mymbyr’s tale is a short one. Enjoy the photos.

    Lovely, peaceful looking scenes.

That first one looks like a painting! Is it the watercolor effect of your camera? – which I like btw – or am I just being romantic? The dots of snow add something to the scene, so peaceful.

    • The first one, full size, has all the details so the camera didn’t watercolor this picture, but it may appear that way as a result of the shrinking process (7MB down to 375KB). But I see what you mean.

Don’t worry, we’ll look after saying the place names, you concentrate on enjoying the landscape 😉
