The Lowly(?) Dandelion

Dandelion Flower and Black BugA pesky weed? Yes. But also eaten, made into wine, central to a book by one of my favorite authors, Ray Bradbury, and enjoyed by children everywhere as they happily participate in dandelion propagation. Today, it’s all about their beauty. This little lovely lives (at least for now) in my garden.

Gorgeous! I wish I could afford a good zoom lense. I also love dandelions. Once, when I was in college, I had a tiny garden (about 3 x 6 feet), and it had a dandelion in bloom. Then my boyfriend came over and tore it out, thinking he was doing me a favor. Bad move.

    • I’m glad you like the dandelion photos. I actually can’t use my zoom lens when shooting close up. I just get in really close (as close as I can and still focus). I’ve wiped pollen off my lens before. 🙂 Sorry to hear about your boyfriend’s blunder. I take it he didn’t make that mistake again.
