Lavender-Loving Bees

Bee on LavenderLast night I saw the most amazing insect pictures and I’m not exaggerating. Nature’s Place has a Page titled Macro Illustrated, which describes the basic principles and practices of nature macro photography and includes mind-blowing photos that show what can be done when you know what you’re doing. If you haven’t checked out Nature’s Place, do so. I’ve been wowed and educated by every post I’ve read.

I took these three photos today, trying to incorporate some of what I learned. They are still far from perfect, but I think they’re better than what I’ve done so far. What do you think?
