One White Rose Bud

White Rose BudRose bud in my garden after a punishing downpour.

Lately, I’ve noticed that I want my camera to do more than what I’m getting from it on the Auto setting so, after a heavy rain shower, I experimented with my camera’s manual (“M”) settings while taking pictures in my garden. I’m starting to stretch here.

After darkening a somewhat distracting background, I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. I believe there may just be more “M” in my future.

Nice photo, i think the dark background really helps bring out the beauty in the rose. Since you are getting away from the Auto setting why not explore the Aperture setting and see how it affects your images.

  2. wow! I haven’t tried manual yet, but now I think I will. Absolutely gorgeous pic!
