Expat Redwood

Californian RedwoodThis Californian Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) has lived in England since 1960. We met recently in Batsford Arboretum. She called to me, Californian to Californian, so I had to pay a visit. After a moment of local-girl bonding, I realized that we both seem to be doing very well in our adopted home, although I suspect her residency will far outlast my own.

  1. Just wait…your memories will be on overload every time you “remember” this adventure….

Love the small strands — cobwebs? — captured on the tree’s bark.
