Bare Tree in the Gloucestershire Countryside

Bare Tree Near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire

A bare tree bathed in afternoon light stands at the edge of a green, sheep-filled field along the footpath to Belas Knap Long Barrow. Behind the lone tree is a wooded area with trees in various stages of undress as they also ready themselves for a winter that hardly looks soon to come.

Later that afternoon, wintery clouds rolled in. Snow and sleet fell that evening. How quickly weather changes in the Gloucestershire countryside.

  2. Oh I love this post ~ I live in the Cotswolds and am thrilled that you enjoy the countryside as much as I do.
