Beside Ghent’s Graslei Canal

We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful day when we visited Ghent. As you can see, this area was rather quiet, but we weren’t the only one’s enjoying the sunshine and picturesque location.

If you look towards the far end of the canal, you can see the bridge where I stood when I took a picture of the canal’s opposite view. If you look even farther into the background, you might be able to make out the top of the medieval Gravensteen (“castle of the count”) rising above the more contemporary buildings just beyond the bridge.
