SnowflakeThe snow is falling. And falling. So what’s a girl to do? Not long ago, I saw a photograph of a single snowflake. It was beautiful. Ever since, I wondered if I could do the same.

Today, using manual focus and the standard 18-55mm lens on my Canon 550D, I gave it a shot. After cropping and making it a black and white image, I liked the result, but hoped for better. I’m going to keep trying.

I’ve always wanted to find out about the existence of the snowflake. To a Southern Californian like me, the snowflake is a mythical phenomenon–is it actually real? Possible? How can you see it?
    This is amazing.
